The Royal Netherlands Army (RNLA) has indentified a need for five Short-Range Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (SRTUAVs). On behalf of the RNLA, the Netherlands Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO), as the Contracting Authority, is looking for companies that are able to provide this product including services.
With this request, the DMO wishes to receive more specific (detailed) information regarding the possible solutions your company is able to offer. A further functional description can be obtained only on request by e-mail.
Besides the supply, there is a request whether you can supply the hardware by means of a full operational lease (incl. personnel and maintenance). This lease for deployment in Afghanistan (Uruzgan) would start from March 2009. The aim is to obtain 180 hour/month information (meaning pictures).
Please, indicate how you, as being the operator as well as for the UAV, can comply with air safety regulations of our NL Military Airworthiness Authority. Please, indicate whether you have hardware and personnel available. If so please quote prices per month/ 6 months/ year till the end of 2010. The analysis cell will be staffed by NL personnel.
All information will be treated as “commercial-in-confidence”.
It is emphasised that the RFI is for planning purposes only. Responding to this RFI does not automatically mean that responding companies will be qualified to receive a formal Request for Quotation in future. The formal procedure for procurement will be determined by the DMO later on.
Further information can only be obtained by using the above mentioned e-mail account or fax number. In case of important additional information, all possible candidates will be informed.
