What to read on CW Doppler Radar?

Hello (and sorry if the post is in the wrong forum),

Can anyone school me / point me in the right direction to read on Continuous Wave Radars and their use in Air Defense? I'm particularly interested in reading about their usage for target detection and Early Warning, their performance and issues.

Specifically I'd be interested in reading about radars such as the CW FM 76N6 Clam Shell ... how does such a radar work in Search Mode, by comparision to a a Pulse Doppler radar.

Is one of the radars more vulnerable to beaming than the other? How do aicraft approach tactics differ with one vs the other?
