Who are the real Bombmakers of Pakistan

Although the founder of atomic bomb of Pakistan is doubtful and you can finish this confusion. Dr. Samar Mubarik Mand(PAEC) says that he is the real designer of bomb whereas Dr. AQ Khan(KRL) also claims that it was him who made Pakistan a nuclear power. Tell about your opinion with suitable reasons if you choose one of the two organizations.

Yes as far as I know, KRL's major help was in the area of centrifuges (obviously through Dr. A. Q. Khan) but the main work was done by PAEC and Mr. Mubarakmand and his scientists. Apparently, KRL and PAEC compete with each other as to who can make the most efficient use of scarce resources and deliver the best output! In May 1998 when Pakistan responded to Indian nukes testing, it was established that the devices exploded were from both the places (KRL and PAEC) and that PAEC devices had more strength/intensity (more kilotons) than those of the KRL. :smokingc:

But in case of Pu bomb, the credit goes to PAEC.

The task of explosions was actually assigned to PAEC but Dr. AQ Khan protested against this decision of Prime Minister and afterwards it was decided that KRl personnel will be involved. As I saw the pictures, all the work was carried out by PAEC and KRl personnel were "busy in posing" to photographers(including Dr. AQ Khan)

It was Dr.Khan who designed first nuclear bombs for Pakistan on the basis of latest designs he brought from Holland.All development and enrichment is done in KRL.
Pakistan Atmoic Energy Commision is basically for research,improvement and advancements in exixsting technologies or future technologies.PAEC is more invoved in missile development and coordination of work etc.

No way!!! Dr. Khan did not develop first nuke designs!! All he did (and which was important) was that he had advanced designs for the gas centrifuges to enrish uranium brought from URENCO and so with the help of those designs, he was able to build sophisitcated centrifuges. He's a metallurgist for pete's sakes. :smokingc:
