well, I don't know what rude things farooqjalalmalik
said about australians, but I'll give you a specific reason as to why you should be careful when criticising other countries.

For the last 3 years australian and french companies have been working on making pakistani submarines more stealthy.

So, the reason why Pakistani subs don't resonate anymore at cetain depths anymore is due to australian technology, australian technicians and a french company.

You might want to know that part of pakistans submarine sonar detection system uses australian technology as well.

If this is how pakistanis show their appreciation for technical assistance, then fine. At least I know what to recommend to other defence companies in future.

He just saying that Pakistan have the capabilities to interdict Australians shipping, not pakistan want to interdict australians shipping. He's talking about technical aspect and capabilities of the systems, not about a goal or intentions to achieve. So what if he say that the subs is capable of interdict Aussie shipping. If it's capable, then it is. a mumbo jumbo talks will not shorten the range of the subs.

No Awang Se. farooq said he didn't personally trust the Aussies or something like that.
I guess he watched too many Pakistan Vs. Australia cricket matches and was unhappy about the results.
Don't worry....any personal or nationalistic attack is not tolerated on this website.

Now BACK to the topic.

I'm not quite know about subs. my country just recently agree to buy a scorpene from DCN while before we have no subs. I think since the incidents India already beef up their ASW capabilities. They do have the Akula to toying with. It was said that the Akula's are quiter than the US 688I.

The akulas were one of the quietest nukes of their day. Not now though.
A lot of the Russian subs were not maintained as the economy collapsed, things like anechoic tiles were not replaced. they would be making as much noise now like an elephant lost in a supermarket..

Cool Re: A really nice account of Pak Navy's psycological hold over Indian Navy.

My personal appology for what Mr. Farooq said earlier in his personal remarks Gary. Red Arrow just might've hit the bull's eye for pointing out Mr. Farooq's frustration at Pakistan vs Australia cricket matches. I'm sure you are well above such little mishaps by newbies around, Gary. Relax.

mysterious the last reply in the topic is more than one year old. Why the sudden necessity to come out and start apologizing and reawakening a dead thread??

Very Simple! Didn't realize it was a year old (didn't look at the dates or watever), just thought that I had never come across this thread and as a responsible Pakistani; I should do whatever I can to nullify Mr. Farooq's negative remarks which were quite irrelevant. :p

PS: You should've closed down the thread if it's so dead.
