On March 14th, 1988, China used force to occupy the Johnson Reef of Vietnam. China's navy used heavy arms to massacre underequipped Vietnamese sailors. Such brutal acts were strongly condemned by international community. However, China seemingly has not drawn any lessons from the Johnson Reef event, as they continue to use force to carry out its conspiracy to turn the whole South East Asia Sea into its home pond.

China is a large nation with a very long history of border disputes which should have been settled peacefully decades ago. There is a old saying of give and take, but China only wants to take. Most nations of the world would be more than happy to split EEZs in the middle, but it appears this is not the case with China.

Hi Mods..:argue

Everything beyond the second sentence is not applicable on this forum IMHO.

--is this more of a discussion of the forces on both sides and tactics?
--or a question as to what heavier arms could have been used by the Chinese?

The Vietnamese were lightly armed as they were only construction soldiers. It was crime against humanity!

I strongly suggest people refrain from political commentary and emotional outbursts about crimes against humanity. This thread is under close watch by the mods and any attempt to lower the standard of the forums will be managed accordingly.

If you can't discuss it like adults, you can't discuss it. Period.

With the powerless U.S. Navy and the Obama administration, China is taking this opportunity to teach the world a lesson.
Can we skip the hyperbole and at least attempt to drive in the reality lane

The 7th fleet alone is the most powerful Navy in the region. let alone the world. Making ridiculous comments about chinese military smacks of a lack of intellectual rigour more than one of considered analysis

I suggest that you make your next posts a bit more serious.

There's no room on here for that kind of claptrap

China's military is ascending and they will want to dictate the terms of which countries' navy they want to pass through all of Asia and the United States.

We note that you have been previously warned about trolling by the Mod Team (with your prior warning quoted below for ease of reference). There will not be another warning.

You're coming perilously close to trolling with this insistence that Russia is stealing designs from the US so they can sell them off to the highest bidder. My advice is to start providing some evidence (particularly for that Flanker = Eagle clone claim, that's quite a cracker) or take it down a notch. If you don't do either of these things you're liable to have a short stay here. Understood?

Thread locked, as it was trolling BS to begin with and doesn't look like it's getting any better.
Thread closed.
