North Korea Could be Readying for 3rd Nuclear Test

Arirang | Korea for the World, The World for Korea - Arirang.co.kr

It is reported that North Korea could be preparing for its third nuclear test.
The South Korean daily, The Chosun Ilbo reported that a US reconnaissance satellite on Wednesday detected movements at the place where Pyeongyang previously held atomic tests.
Citing unidentified government officials the newspaper said that the test preparation could take upto three months.
Seoul's Defense Ministry has not officially commented on the report as of yet.
The paper added that the communist state could use the atomic test to be in better position for negotiations with Seoul while strengthening its military might ahead of its leadership change.
Pyeongyang carried out its first two atomic tests in October 2006 and May 2009 prompting international condemnation and sanctions by the United Nations Security Council.
