SINGAPORE (Aug. 16, 2010) Sailors man the rails of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) as the ship prepares to depart Changi Naval Base in Singapore. Adelman and civilian and military officials from the Republic of Singapore toured the ship, visiting the flight deck, bridge, flight deck control and the medical department, to get a better understanding of carrier operations.
