The Significance of the Lancaster Bomber (video)

In view of Remembrance/Veteran's Day, this video pays tribute to the crews of the Lancaster bombers. Many say that the strength of the strategic defense in the Lancaster bomber was the key to allied victory. The number of men and women lost is staggering by today's standards. It is important to remind all generations of these events and our freedom, especially at this time of year.

A great video Doering.

WW2 Bomber Command crews had a death rate of nearly 45%. The bravery it must have taken to continue flying with those odds against you beggers belief doesn't it?

Thanks swiftandbold!
From my understanding the crews were not informed of the losses across the UK. They would know about losses from nearby bases. Regardless, certainly redefines the meaning of guts and glory.
