International performers included F-16 demos from both Belgian & Royal Netherlands Air Force. USAF performers included B-52 fly-by, C-17, F-15E, F-22A, Thunderbirds, Air Force Academy Parachute Team & USMC F/A-18C.
Aviation Nation was final air show demo for F-22 Pilot Major Paul "Max" Moga. It was also last air show performance for Thunderbirds in F-16 Block 30 aircraft. Announcer said they had already taken delivery of new Block 51's.
Warbirds included a beautifully restored P-38 Lightning. P-51 Mustang was featured in Legacy Flight with Raptor & Strike Eagle. There was also a parade of older trainers as well as civillian acts. Red Bull helicopter's 360 degree loop has to be seen to be believed.
Was told FAA cancelled UAV flyover at last minute. There was also scuttlebutt that the show was scaled back due to financial considerations. That may be, but it was still an excellent and well run show regardless of the fact that there's no admission charge.
Got some of the sharpest & clearest photos I've ever taken. On some shots you can to see the reflection of the slot plane on the other planes. Haven't had time to convert my best Raptor photos to jpg's yet, but hooked them up to a TV and was quite pleased. Also got an excellent cross-over photo that looks like it an instant before a collision. Larger version at http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/showphoto.php/photo/33833.
