MiG 'Mysteries'

Maybe not so much, but to me anyway. So i found these two pictures around the net. One is of these serrations i noticed from an AFM a ways back (and i posted here earlier).

Those triangles on the edge of the radome, anyone have an idea as to why they're there? Is that part of the hinging mechanism for the 'dome? Or did our boys from the good ol' design bureau incorporate some minor stealth aspects to their product?

This other pic is older, but still interesting and shows additions to one of the MiG-35 prototypes. Under the intake trunks; on the starboard is a (relatively) large box containing _______. ? What is that? I'd say it was a IRST or a FLIR except they're already on this MiG family elsewhere. Some form of IRCM? On the port trunk is a smaller pod, perhaps simply a camera to take pix of how the bigger one is riding. I know this one and others of it have been around awhile and have seen theories from various sources but has anyone truly figured out what they are?
