Hi there. This is my first post here in years... Is this the right forum for this?

I spent 5 days at the Australian International Airshow... It was my first big airshow so I just loved it.

All Images shot using Nikon D200 with 80-400mm VR, 18-200 VR or Sigma 10-20mm

What a roller coaster ride of a week... Heat waves, Dust Storms, Rain, Sun, Wind... but worth every minute.

I have heaps more stored on my photobucket Online Storage Site... PM or email and introduce yourself if you want to have a look, I will give you the link and password...

Tin Stix of Dynamite! World aerobatic champions Jurgus Kairys (Sukhoi Su-26) and Jim Leroy (Bulldog Pitts S2S) with pyrotechnics by Rich Gibson.

Jim Leroy cuts perofrms The Ribbon Cut... Notice that he is sideways, using his fuselage as a lift surface, flying under the ribbon, and cutting it with his upper wing. What a looney...

Great photography KillaGee. I am extremely envious of your camera and you're ability as a photographer. I think these photos are comparable in quality with those on the official Defence Force site.

Cheers

Great pictures. My flight show snaps can’t compare but here are a few more interesting shots from Avalon 07:

I’ll take both.

The weather when I was there (the Saturday) was pretty bad :( But it was still great fun. All shots on a 300D, most with 70-300 F/4-5.6 IS USM.

great shots phreekey. None of mine turned out that good. Crappy camera i guess, has a delay from when you push the button to when the shot is taken, pluss the rain didnt help.
