Kaliningrad - part of the Russian surrounded by NATO & EU countries. Given the current climate since Putin's re-election, both internaly and international, could this so far overlooked european outpost become more important.

What is Russia's current military presence there, do they see the negative attitude of Poland and the Baltic States as a threat to tjis exclave?

Is there a serious seperestist movement there? Could anti Putin forces create a problem here?

What separatist movement? The place is inhabited by drunk Russian sailors and their not so faithful Russian wives. It would be hard to imagine whom they would want to separate from and for what purpose. Plus, the "current climate" is no different from what it was five years ago. Or twenty years, for that matter.
