...Is the headline of a CNN article (I'm not allowed to post the link of sorry). I've been reading many of the comments probably written by people with nothing else to support their cries of conspiracy but an uneasy feeling or a hunch.

After an exhaustive manhunt, Special Operations forces located Mullah Mohibullah and the shooter after receiving multiple intelligence leads and tips from local citizens, the ISAF statement said (CNN)

I'm not trying to offend anyone, but do any of you guys have more specific information about this? (also this post may not belong anywhere on this forum, sorry)

No, just this.

You know what they say about payback......

Still want to know why 30 Seals where in ONE chopper. Bad idea that.

Not all the casualties is SEALs, i think there's a few afghan troops and helicopter crew. The SEAL casualties are 22 personell according to MSNBC and CBSNews

The details of that operation is not released to public , so many questions :

- so one can only guess why so many people crammed into 1 chinook ? Is this a multi chopper operation or single chopper ?
- how the taliban ambushed the chopper ? by salvo RPG / rockets to the chopper's flight path ? An afghan ally treachery (exploding IED on board) ? (there is a link to article about how taliban ambush helicopters. i forgot the link, searching now)..
- SEAL team 6 members in this mission as a standing/ready QRF force or on a mission ?

I used to think that the losses sustained by Israeli Naval Commando in Lebanon Ambush is very high, also the loss of Australian SAS in helo collision is very painful ..

but this SEAL loss and the previous Helo shootdown (trying to rescue 4-man SEAL recon team) killed almost 40 SEALs.. More SEALs are killed on transit instead of in action.

i guess the SPECOPS community are now looking to add more protection to their helo transport..

Yea i knew about the others. But from what i've heard no one puts that many seals into one easy to kill chopper.

Seemed like a mistake was mad someone got to relaxed.

well done...
is it going like a game...??
i wonder why the black hawk with one of the latest missile sensors and escorting such a private important group of navy seals were flying at such an low altitude and how Taliban intelligence system got so advanced that they targeted only that chopper which was containing navy seals who raided Osama bin laden
kinda seems like a ground plan
first...osama killed
second...those who kill him got killed
third...those who killed osama and killed by Taliban now got killed.
what a chain reaction

n
An article from CNN says 'The majority of the Navy SEALs who died belonged to the same covert unit that conducted the raid that killed Osama bin Laden in May, though they were not the same men' from a 'military official'

I also thought it was a CH-47 Chinook that they were in not a Black Hawk which the same article substantiates.

(Note, i would have posted the link but i do not have a high enough post count at the minute)
