ØProtocol I: Prohibits the use of weapons intended to injure by fragments which are not detectable in the human body by X-rays.
ØProtocol II: Prohibits or restricts the use of mines, booby-traps & other devices.
ØProtocol III: Restricts use of incendiary weapons
ØProtocol IV: Prohibits employment of laser weapons specifically designed to cause permanent blindness to un-enhanced vision.
ØProtocol V: Recognizes the need for measures of a generic nature to minimize the risks & effects of explosive remnants of war.
- ANTI PERSONNEL MINES (APM) TREATY:

ØProhibits anti-personnel mines, which are defined as mines designed to be exploded by the presence, proximity or contact of a person & which will incapacitate, injure or kill one or more persons.
ØEach party undertakes to destroy all its stockpiled anti personnel mines ASAP but no later than 4 years after the EIF of the convention for that state party.
ØEach party also undertakes to destroy all anti-personnel mines in mined areas under its jurisdiction or control not later than 10 years after the EIF for conventions for that party.
