Unidentified armored vehicle

What kind of armored vehicle is the one in the attachment?

Would have helped (as asked) location, but not to recognize BTR 80?...

The rear end looks more like the one of a BTR 60 but the front part does not have the boat like shape of BTR 60 or 80.

BTR-60 I would say, but we'd need a better look. This photo is tiny.

Saw the same photo in a news article about combat in Mali, but it could have been a stock photo from just about anywhere given the way the press works.

I have found a better picture.

The photo of the BTR belongs to a collection of war pictures (not related to the BTA) titled: "Some photos taken in Konna, in northern Mali, after it was liberated by the French."

Also, below the BTR picture, the only explicative text is:
"Burned out tank at the outskirts of Konna - Northern Mali"

I stand corrected - BTR 60

No projection of the upper hull between the 2nd and 3rd wheel + judging by the wheel pattern and design - BTR-60.

BTR 60 or 80 are very different in terms of their wheels.

I agree with Marc

Me too, if it matters. BTR-60
