Armata vs Javelin

A BBC article claims that the Norwegians are worried about the viability of the Javelin against the Armata (and other tanks with active protection systems).

Is there good reason to think that current active protection systems can counter a large ATGM with a top-down attack-profile? Or is such fear premature?

Several points. First off, vs threads are specifically against the forum rules. Second off the Armata is the development program, T-14 is the tank, T-15 the IFV. Third off public statements don't always reflect reality and instead are aimed at creating a certain perception.

Also consider that the T-14 is in LRIP right now with both state trials and experimental exploitation still in progress, and the first unit to be re-equipped (depending on who you believe) to take place in 2019, 2020, or 2021. The final version might look different from what we see today.
