Could any one tell me what the red and white cirle is on the front of the Russian Akul 971 is?
Also ive been trying to find facts on the amount of torpedo tubes and the weapons fired from them. Pictures of the torpedo tubes or anything else on the sub would be useful.
Thanks

I don't mean to be rude, but a search on google would likely produce all the information you're looking for....
The forum is for discussion, not just queries of easily obtainable information. A quick look on wikipedia tells us it can fire RPK-2 Vyuga with 200 kt warheads and RPK-6 Vodopad missile with a 20kt warhead. You could have found that out yourself in about 5 minutes...

Sorry if it came off like that but the reason I ask that question was because I searched many sites and got conflicting answers. Plus it was going to be a discussion after a few people replied and we kept going back and forth. I did not see that on wiki but I could have missed it.

I heard on some site, that it can be fitted with Schval super cavitating torpedos capable of about 200 Knots, along with Granat missiles that can be used as ground attack weapons.

I don't know for a fact that any were fitted, but 533mm torpedo tubes do exist on the project 971. I don't think it would be impossible to fit the Shkval on it. Allegedly the RK-55 Granat (not to be confused with the Kh-55 Granat) was deployed to Akula class subs in the 80s.
What conflicting claims have you found?

I think it was some website that said it could while many others didn't even state that it could carry and use the Granat or other missiles.
