Chat Room/Box

Often on the forums we come across situations where there is heated discuassion on a topic and it almost becomes a chatroom affair, would it be possible to incorporate a chatroom at the top of the threads? realising the bandwitdth this would take up why not have mods open the chats to threads they see fit too...

Thanks for the suggestion. A chatroom makes a great addition to any forum however having chat on defencetalk forum or on threads would mean users will chat more and discuss less. We might as well shut down the forum. Chatrooms are often hard to moderate, there is less quality as far as content/discussion is concered with no sense of topic.

I don't think DefenceTalk would want to compromise its leadership role as THE best and most professional defense/military forum on the internet by introducing a chatroom. Sorry.
