Canadian Armed Forces

Hi all. I was just wondering what Canada’s general defence level is like. I think our navy is rather bad but I think our air force is average and our troops on the ground are very well equipped and trained. I think we bought some updated supply planes (c-17) and new Leopard 2 tanks from Germany (probably the best tanks in the world). Also our c-7 rifle is at least equal to the American m-16 but probably better (not saying our military is even close to as good as the US though). As whole I think Canada has a decent army that is slowly improving. Anyway I am really interested in the military and wanted to know a bit more about Canada’s armed forces.

Two good resources are the army.ca blog and www.casr.ca they have more information than i've found elsewhere.
