Does Land Rovers make an armor version of the four-wheel drive vehicle? I saw this and didn't know they made military type vehicles to begin with. If Land Rover doesn't get the order what would be some other options?

Armoured Land Rovers have been around for 40 years, that I know of, & the British army has many of them. Look up "Snatch" Land Rovers, Glover-Webb armoured land rovers (e.g. the One-Ten), & Shorland armoured cars. Otokar in Turkey also did one, the APV.

Armoured light utilities are quite common. Usully protection against small arms (rifle calibres) and hand grenades.

I'm sure Hummer isn't the only Light recon vehicle manufacturer around. Mercedes also manufactures light recon 4x4s that have been used in Afghanistan by European Special Forces.

Of course it isn't. Such vehicles are made in France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Austria, the UK - etc., etc. Loads of 'em. Armoured & unarmoured models.

Correct, there are loads of manurfacterors that provide to these sorts of contracts in both the private and public sector.
Just a matter of who will do it for cheaper and on time or even before
