US Army choice
Huey II vs. UH-72A
I wanted to know if anybody knew why the US Army picked the UH-70A over the Huey II. From what I can find the Huey II cost $1.8 million, see link below near the bottom of the page.

Is the performance and maintenance so much better to warrant spending around $3 million dollars more per helicopter? I was wondering if anybody had some insight on the selection process because I can’t seem to find why one was was chosen over the other.

Compared to the UH-72A cost at around $5 million per. I can’t seem to find the exact price of the UH-70A only rough prices on the EC-145.
