Of interest is the fact that an Australian company called Aerostructures Group (now owned by a British company) has assisted Pakistan to refurbish its FT-5s.

Not sure why would you open a new topic just to post a less relevant news.

Pakistan produces variety of UAVs herself. Pakistan also has exported its UAVs to friendly countries including USA. The UAV program of Pakistan is years ahead of India.

There must be more to it.

Aliph don't drag India into this. It will create flames. Let this be a warning. I have noticed you have a habit with dragging India into Pakistan topics and vice versa.

The main factor behind this procurement step of this UAV from Australia is the highly precise intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) coupled with relatively good endurance of the Scan Eagle. If I'm not mistaken, this system comes with Real-Time capability which would be vital for Pakistani Forces battling militants on its side of the Afghan border.
