This is the Russian MiG 21, its very effective for its price. MiG-21 does not have BVR or BVR missles but they are effective in dogfights.

MiG-29 is the most abondent air to air fighter in IAF. It`s main purpose is air defence and air superiority. It doesn`t have long range but is BVR capable. MiG-29`s are going to be used on Indian carriers.

Hal LCA ``teja`` is a mini Mirage 2000. Teja has BVR capability and will be armed with Astra aam. The Teja will replace MiG-21 MiG-23 MiG-27 and more. India reguires anywhere between 100-200 Tejas.
