The Admiral Gorshkov is a nice loking ship.Though I still have my doubts about the safety of the skijump aircraft launch deck.If any pilot were to start moving his machine before the requisite thrust for takeoff could be reached :eek splash!.Now you tend to get less of those problems with cat equipped carriers which just push the jet into the air.

What's your point?
During the Falklands War in 1982, the RN was all concerned about the Argies' carrier Veinticinco de Mayo, bought in 1968 from the Dutch navy (RNthN Karel Doorman, R81), who had acquired her in 1948 from ... the Royal Navy, where she had started life as the light fleet carrier HMS Venerable in 1945. Having essentially been a hulk from 1986 onwards she was finally decommed in 1997 and scrapped in 1999. An enviable forty plus years of operational service...
The ship we know as Viraat/Hermes was first laid down 6/1944 but renamed 11/1945. However, construction was suspended following WWII and only resumed mid-1950's. She was commissioned as a light fleet carrier HMS Hermes (R12) on 25 Nov 1959. Had been scheduled for decommissioning, but was retained for Falklands service. Decommissioned to reserve 12 April 1984, was stricken for disposal 1 July 1985 and sold to India 19 April 1986 where she commissioned 12 May 1987 as INS Viraat (R22) and formally recommissioned on 15 Feb 1989.
By comparison, Viraat is today is in much better shape than Veinticinco de Mayo was at the same age.
