There was a problem with sending members email through their profile. When a user tried to send an email to someone, he would get an "invalid_session" error.

That problem is now fixed.

And thanks for liking the "quick reply" feature. :)

Favorites are up and running.... ;) Now you can add topics you like to your fav list... How do you do that? Well, "add to favorites" link is always at the bottom of a thread. ;)

Note: if you click on "wat this topic for replies" you will get an email everytime that topic gets a reply so its not that pleasant as favorites. :)

Took away some things from the top of the forum so that users see nice clean look of the forum and not have to scroll down.

There are somethings which are only visible to REGISTERED users as far as menus, profiles, member list, group lists and forum stats are concerened. Condensed the top portion as far as possible... hope it looks easy and good now!

HOME page login is working for the forum/gallery... you may use it to log in as well. Same will be taking effect in gallery. :)

One of the LOGIN/LOGOUT issues fixed on the galleries. If you click LOGIN link on gallery, it will bring you to the forum login page and then redirect you back to gallery instead of the forum. This feature was needed for those trying to log in from gallery and then ending up at forum.

Now, if you click on a picture and it asks you to login... it may not redirect you to that specific picture. Working on it. :)

Minor editing:

Announcements are displayed in every forum so that you may not miss an important news and update about defencetalk.com.

When viewing a forum you see this:

DefenceTalk.com > Forum Index > WMDs and Missiles

The bold part is now linked to the HOME page of the website, "forum Index" to forum page...

Add to favorites only appears when user is logged in.

------

Some changes to gallery:

Airshow (http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/index.php?cat=52) section is in full swing. We are adding pics in gallery on daily basis. World at War (http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/index.php?cat=53)sections were created.

You see some nice effects when you hover over an image thumbnail... once you have visited that pic it has yellowish border telling you that you have already seen that pic. :) Hope you guys find that useful.

Remember if you have any idea and suggestion, we want to hear it so please don't hasitate to post here:

Feedback forum (http://www.defencetalk.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=13&sid=6ae2774d1a1faf4c086503a0afb b2c62) You don't have to be logged in to post... :)

Thats about it for now.

Enjoy.

Great news guys, and this one makes your life a little easier:

When you are viewing an image, and its "INFO" you will notice a new field there called:

bbcode

Which looks like this:

[url=http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/displayimage.php?pos=-1291][img]http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/albums/UK-RAF-EuroF/Raf_eurofighter2.jpg[/img][/url]

What that does is create a link to BIG picture:

Example:
http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/albums/UK-RAF-EuroF/Raf_eurofighter2.jpg (http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/displayimage.php?pos=-1291)

Working on something that will generated link to thumbnails of same pic but links to the big pic-like this:

http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/albums/UK-RAF-EuroF/thumb_Raf_eurofighter2.jpg (http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures//pictures/displayimage.php?pos=-1291)

Okay, made some changes when you view topics:

You can only see user's signature when you are logged in. Also, their profile link/pm/email/, etc. links at the end of their reply only visible when you log in.

LAST post column now has DATE linked to the latest post instead of a icon.

Forum and topic titles appear in your browser's window/title.

Enjoy!

Gallery:

Here is an easy way to display THUMBs using the BBCODE already generated by the gallery software and is listed under picture INFO icon:

the gallery gives you this bbcode so that you can display picture on a forum:

bbCode: [url=http://www.defencetalk.com//pictures/displayimage.php?pos=-1718][img]http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/albums/userpics/JF-17big.jpg[/img][/url]

http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/albums/userpics/JF-17big.jpg (http://www.defencetalk.com//pictures/displayimage.php?pos=-1718)

Now, that links to BIG picture, which makes the scroll bar at the bottom to overcome that and to display just a thumbnail of the picture while still linking into the bigger pic use this method:

Using the code already generated, just add " thumb_ " in front of the picture name so for example:

bbCode: [url=http://www.defencetalk.com//pictures/displayimage.php?pos=-1718][img]http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/albums/userpics/THUMB_JF-17big.jpg[/img][/url]

This would display thumbnail without taking the thread out of format.
