I discovered this photograph of one of the ssgn conversions with what appears to be a new type of dry dock shelter on it.It certainly seems more hydronamic from the front but look at that big hinge for the access door!

Truculent, thanks for that. I had always wondered what the SDV shelter looked like inside. Now I can see its a whole lot more basic and low tech than I imagined. :(

I wonder what they did with the sdv whilst they were on the port visit?I am sure they do not transport the DDS around empty.

Its all part of the current UK 'Fitted for but not with' doctrine. It fools the opposition into thinking the RN are doing something interesting. :D :onfloorl: :p:
