Okay, so we have to open this list now I guess. Someday it had to be open, and let this be the day.
As of today, this member has been banned for disrespecting other members and not following the rules.
jatt2ooo
Familiarize your self with this page and keep this in mind while posting so that you may not end up in this list as well (http://www.defencetalk.com/forums/rules.php)
You are not judged by your country, racial background but your character and manner in which you deal with others.
PS: This was our first bannishment. :idea2 Let it be last.

Hmm....I couldn't tell what was the bigger issue with him...The fact his pet chosen jet argument was being kicked into the ground or the obvious problem he has with Pakistanis.

As watcher said, we are one of the most civlized websites and we work hard to continue to be one. I hope those who come here with intentions of hurting the atmosphere realize that we will not tolerate their B.S as other forums might have. Indians and Pakistanis both discussing issues and in a civilized manner. Wow, it is heart-warming to see the good manners and strict control kept by Webbie and other moderators. I visited this website last in April-2003 and came back only today since it was in my favorites list and may I say, that I am too happy to be back in here. Some other forums were full of religious barks, racial slurs thus leaving the arguments in mess.
As for me, I am an Indian living in US, recently been to Karachi & Islamabad to work on a CATV Project whose tender was floated by Pakistan Telecommunications to connect 4 cities to one Master Headend. While there, was wondering if I was in India or in Pakistan since everything is so damn same. Anyhow it was fun to spend some time there.
Great job and a wonderful spirit of a forum...Congratulations!!! and keep it up.

Great job webmaster... unfortunately at many forums I know of (Air forces monthly for one) there are too many kids with too much time and a misguided sense of patriotic fervour intent on propagating their BS where ever they can. And if they cant then they just go about destroying anything constructive and meaningful. In my day we'd give them a right good thrashing... but since all those bleeding heart liberals took the whole child welfare thing a bit too far discipline, honour and respect are all bygone words relegated to the dictionary! Hell I say we bring back the draft and send them to Iraq or Afghanistan……… that'll sort out the little shits.

I second the motion. This week has been particularly bad, I've worn my fingers to a stub editing and deleting flames and baits.
The other thing is that people persistently will post a topic that baits the other side very soon after the end of a previous "bait" - so the cycle continues on...
It gets a little tiresome.

Sad, that both are intelligent fellows who contribute to the forum so much and having that intellect also, they could not keep it cool.
Is the ban on both of them permanent or it is temporary. I wish it was temporary though... but then it is for you guys to decide.

The ban is temporary. Both made great contributions to the forum and had a lot of posts without any problem. I don't see any reason why they can't continue with some maturity and civility.
On the other hand, if myst can get so many chances, why not watcher and sri? :P :P :P (just kidding myst)
Ah! The sarcasmz. :P (No hard-feelings Webbie!) Well, to be frank, I was given the first chance (when I was big_evil) but the second time I deserved it 'cuz Webbie knows I was banned for no fault of my own (more precisely to kool things off over here on DT between me and amit21mech).
Of course, my earlier post was only sincere towards Watcher cuz for me, he got off the track for probably the first time and so I feel bad for him. Sri, had made it his habit to start problems with me, sabre, adsh, etc on the most petty issues almost all the time and so I think, all of us who've had problems with him (or if not, then at least me) needed a breathing space (about time)! I hope this banning process knocks some sense in to both Sri and Watcher as well as become an example for prospective newbies. :smokingc:

Well, a few times I noticed you both heating up a bit and even Webbie mentioned you; so that led me to believe there might be something. Chill. :smokingc:
