Sukhoi T-50?

The image below is reportedly an artist's concept (released by Russian engine manufacturer Saturn) for the T-50 fighter now under development.

First flight is reportedly slated for 2009 . . . we'll just have to see.

This picture is hilarious. How do they expect this aircraft to fly with full-flying tailplanes, horizontal and vertical, with steps on either side of the pivot? The amount of turbulence this will cause whenever you apply rudder or elevator is crazy, especially the vertical tailplane.

Great paint scheme but and the low-vis ‘red’ stars are a nice touch. Comrade Mikoyan would appreciate it.

Well, looks pretty sleek to me. Kindof resembles the f-22, only the engines don't look the same.:)

thats gonna be a really interesting aircraft. i cant wait to see what the russians do to top the capabilites and skills of the f-22

here are some pics i found of the possible design for the T-50. its like a combination of the f-22 (the intakes), f-15 (the dual thrusts), and the wings are kinda like the f-22's also.
