UK sailors captured at gunpoint


Not to say any thing bad about the UK But what if this happon to the US?

I'm guessing that the US and UK have updated their ROE to avoid this sort of thing from happening again.

I have no idea what would have happened had the captured sailors been American. I suspect the Iranians intentionally avoided capturing Americans.

The US suffered a similar incident in 1968 (see below)

From what I understand this event caused a comprehensive and in depth review of ROE’s, no doubt the Brit’s will be going trough the same soul searching process.
