Hi, Anyone got any data on the USA's new XM8 I can't get a reliable source

XM8 was cancelled last year... she was a candidate for the SCAR but was passed over. If H&K still wants to waste their money on it I have no idea.

As far as I understand the program was cancelled due to technical problems with the new HK operating system, and in addition the Army wanted to learn as much from returning Iraq vets about what needs to go into their next assault rifle. We may see a new XM-8 in a couple of years when a new program starts up.
