Was always a logical choice I believe!
Word is the Australian Army wants a similar aircraft to the UH 145 to replace the Huey and Kiowa and to provide a more realistic training step up to the MRH-90, Black Hawk and Chinook.
Unfortunately, Navy wants a lighter, single engined type with no real utility application to replace its Squirrels, hence the Army's part of AIR 9000 Phase 7 being put back 6-7 years to 2016+ in the DCP.
