Anybody knows whether this vehicle is in production or out of production? or does Volgograd Tractor Plant still produce it anymore?

Yes, BMD-3 is in production. In 2007-2010 planned 40-60 per year, included BMD-4 (BMD-3 with 100-mm gun).

The KBM weapon company haddeveloped the new turret (Bakhcha) for BMP-3 and BMD-4 and have started the serial production of BMD-4 last year in Tula near Moscow.
