I'll try this again in the right forum ...

I'm looking at signing up as a Supply Officer. I already have a professional degree/career but decided the normal career + RNZNVR wasn't really enough.

Anyone have any tips about pay, career options, RNZN in general, etc?

Cheers.

I would suggest veiwing the navy site followed by a chat with the recruiter. Oh, the usual warning about Rum, Sodomy and the abolition of the lash;)

Shame about that eh.

Read the site, talked to the man on the end of the phone, called some contacts he suggested, read the glossy mag, been there, done that.

No other tips from the punters?

Well, obviously there's a personal benefit of discipline and stuff that comes from being in any military branch. If you were seeking what the pay was like, whatever website they have set up should explain it. As for a career after whatever branch you are joining, I would say that it would look VERY nice on your resume.
