Would they remain close? I have an article for the same forum.

They have been split into regional strategic/political forums. You can post in the new forum for the specific region.

Yes, as highsea said you can post in the regional strategic / political forums.

The topics are general in nature and not region centric. I would post them in the Asian Strategic and Political Issues. Since they relate to Asia. Moderators can later move the topic to the section they deem fit.

Its truly disappointing that Political forum is closed
Yesterday Bush took the oath and i think which is a very imp thing.
Atleast Admin could transfer the Tsunami Thread to General Issues forum.
Tsunami should not be counted as Political Thread.

Ajay, sorry to disappoint you but we have been disappointed by some members for past few months so thats why decision was taken to close political discussions as they stimulate no military discussions but have become platform for Indians and Pakistanis to brag about what is happening in South Asia and totally ignoring rest of the world's problems and related discussions. All focus was on india pakistan topics, which is sad to see. DT is an international website not south asian and it will not become south asian mouth piece. There are plenty of Indian forums that allow Pakistan bashing and Pakistan forums that allow India bashing. Indians and pakistanis only worry about what is happening in their own countries while there is more happening in Eastern European countries as far as defence is concerned... We have had enough of politics on forum which is intended as Military only. Besides, if both sides debate with mutual respect then we would have considered implementing strict rules but idea of mutual respect is very alien to some of the kids on who visit DT.

Strict military discussions will attract mature military enthusiasts who know and enjoy debating technical stuff in well moderated website.

Tsunami thread was moved.

Enjoy
