The Russian aircraft manufacturer MiG plans to deliver 36 MiG 29 combat planes this year to foreign buyers, 20 new aircraft and 16 modernized versions, MiG Director General Valery Torianine said July 21.

He said the last two planes from an order of 10 MiG 29 SE fighters and two MiG 29 UB trainers left for Sudan July 21.

MiG’s order book is currently worth $1.4 billion, Torianine said, adding that “there is a real possibility to bring it soon to 2 billion dollars.”

The bulk of the order is for the Indian Navy. They've agreed to restart the production line due to the Gorshkov deal.

these mig 29 are going to be really an effective platform, they are going to have israeli input (i think). last time i read one of the reports, it claimed that the Indian navy wanted mirage 2000 platform instead of the Migs apparently they got pressured into buying the Mig's as part of the deal.

Yes the MiG 29's were packaged along with the Gorshkov. I doubt the IN will use them though. Prolly sell'em..
