Patriot & S-300

I not really fancy making comparison like this but i need to know. I've heard that S-300 is a better long range AD platform than their american counterpart, the Patriot. Is it true? or just a rumors spread by anti US group?

The Russians have always been highly regarded and respected for their missile developments. AFAIK The S-300 has a longer range, so it's a bit hard to do a direct comparison.

It certainly has a range advantage, and I'd argue that it probably is as lethal as touted. The Russians were unable to maintain parity with the west in aircraft development, so tended to specialise in missile defense as they were cheaper and able to be produced much more easily.

Combat tested in numerous nations all arab countries have them in operation with alot of them just recently updated. couple them up with the rest of intigrated system defense i think Patriots are the better !! i like the fact that the US works with numerous nations as allies with each one distinctively participating on certain projects which give rise to specialization without over burdening a nations resources!!

Does th S-300 possess any specific Anti-Ballistic missile capability? Patriot Advanced Capability 3 seems to possess a good capability, much better than original Patriot at any rate...

yes it does, the original S-300 has limited anti-ballistic ability. the S-300V is a system develop from the original to specifically counter ballistic missiles.
