US manufacturer's have a major slice of the defence industry covered.\
F-16 and F-18 account for 22% of world fighter aircraft inventory.
C-130 accounts for 21% of world transport aircraft inventory.
One interesting point was the USA accounts for 78% of world tanker inventory.

F-16s accounts its impressive but F-18s are not successful like f-16s in world markets .think about it:duel:

Yep i think a single engined fighter would be cheaper to fly per hour than a double engine.F-16 a lightweight fighter probably half the price of an F-18 and carries less ordnance.

F-18 classic(and C/D) sold 1000 plus units and were exported to a number of countries including Australia,Canada,Spain,Kuwait and Malaysia

The super hornet has sold close to 700 units and exported to Australia.
Australia is the only country to have purchased a growler version.
US must trust Australia, to export a capability like that

I assume the Super hornet has greater capability, endurance and load carrying than the F-16

What am i thinking about??
