According to the Russian military-industrial complex Web site March 15 reported that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has signed on the 13th of this month to receive the first batch of four Chinese-made K-8W trainer to the Order. The K-8W can be equipped with air to surface missiles, free-fall bombs and guided weapons.
Chavez received the new trainer for the ceremony held to announce, this group of K-8W for the Venezuelan Air Force has a tremendous sense of history and anti-imperialist, helping Venezuela's military to defend the country's sovereignty.
However, Venezuela did not reveal from the China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation bought these trainers a specific price.
China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation head of the medium-term in Venezuela last year announced that it will deliver in the K-8W trainer within three years of providing a package of material - technical support, and will also be used in life-cycle of these trainers to provide maintenance period maintenance services.
K-8 by the China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Company, Nanchang Aircraft Manufacturing Company and Pakistan jointly developed the company from south to fly as a basis for design and manufacture of advanced jet trainer, but also the first Chinese co-operation with foreign research and development, in order to export to Lord of the trainer. The aircraft is equipped with modern avionics systems, including instrumentation, communications and navigation equipment, to meet the 21st century pilot training. The aircraft has a strong capability of sustained flight with a maximum flying speed of 800 km, combat radius of 400 km and a maximum range of up to more than 2100 km endurance more than 3 hours. K-8 both for the A-5 attack aircraft or F-5 fighter aircraft like the provision of basic training, but also for US-made F-16 advanced fighter planes like to provide advanced training.
K-8 of the load of bombs up to a ton, when used as a combat aircraft, which is equipped with a 23 mm caliber guns, can also be mounted two air to air missiles, bombs or rockets, for airports to be places air defense operations. In addition, it also can be installed photographic and electronic scanning equipment, an air reconnaissance missions.
So far, K-8's output has exceeded 500, of which some was also exported to some countries in Asia and Africa.
