The plane cannot be seen or heard and it must not leave a trail in the sky. Other things to consider are to minimize the heat from the engines and to either absorb or deflect radar beams. The main way to detect an airplane is by spotting it using radar beams. To reduce being detected by these beams, the fighter is made from special alloy materials. The entire plane is also covered with special radar absorbing materials (RAM) to absorb radar waves. The shape of the fighter is also designed for stealth, because the overall triangular shape of the plane reflects the radar beams. The engines of the fighter are also designed to give off little exhaust and heat to avoid being detected. To avoid visual detection in the sky, the body of the plane is painted with a gray color that matches the sky and makes it difficult to see.

Jet turbines are LOUD. If you are ever in a town that has a airshow and someone does some serious turning and burning You will hear it. 6 F-18's make Alot of noise.

This subject has been done to death and discussed in detail many many many times in the past.

It does not bode well when claims and canards that have been discussed, debated and refuted in detail on this forum (and by numerous people) are seemingly ignored or glossed over.

This is a serious subject and with the amount of detail that has been provided in the past, dumbing down the debate and starting from scratch is just a non starter

I suggest that any future topics on LO be given a bit more serious attention before committing to the forum for public display.

We're not going to go into regular reinventions of the subject when a simple shot at using the search function would have addressed and provided much of the answers
