What happened to the "PAK-FA / T-50: Russian 5th Generation Fighter" thread?
Was it closed, or are there no more news worth to talk about, or report about the PAK-FA / T-50: Russian 5th Generation Fighter?
Thanks.

because to keep it open while the f35 threads here have no conclusive positive press about them would make the problematic f35 programme look bad...up stage it if u will...so that leads me to believe the closeur of the pak-fa russias fifth generation fighter thread may be due to a certain aerospace concerns tentacles breaching and compromising the integrity of this website.
edit...i sincerely hope not because this website does have a role in bringing greater public awareness to defence related matters.
Anyways, there has been very less to nill news on the PAK FA development programme lately. I've been trying to find any news on its canopy redesign and its engine nozzle redesign if any in vain. AFAIK the canopy will be a 1 piece frameless design but why is it taking the russians so long to come out with it when the chinese already have them on their J 20? Also it is believed that the final production model MAY sport a more stealthy nozzle and not a conventional 1, so I've been trying to find out if this is true. Any news on this guys?
Hi nevidimka.
Do note that in the configuration of the existing canopy.
It can withstand much more beating from the elements, possible higher top speed or at least higher endurance in top speed.
And can eject at a higher speed than a one pice canopy where to HUD display have to shield the pilot..
But it remain to be seen, doesn't have to be one on the next prototype eighter.

You've heard something on the software upgrade? For what additional weapons? To the best of my knowledge the VVS hasn't received serial produced new munitions in ages.
BTW can Active Radar Cancellation work against AESA radars?
my pleb answer is no, (something like the following, but the ones that know are welcome to correct)
AC 'can' work on low frequency radar/sonar, attenuation of spikes ( lots of if's, when's and but's)
AC has its hands full to work on aesa, high frequency that changes, encoded, LPI, target bouncing many different freq returns from various parts of platform
MBDA is testing, for their cruise missiles against very low freq. radar
sweetman started a baseless rumor on ac for the rafale, (in an interview, subject didnt answer the question, so its true) that has been brought to urban myth standard over the years
that seems the basic info i have gleamed from the net

I'm wondering if the russians are working on ARC on the PAK Fa. But if it doesnt work on the AESa then i guess its a no.
is there any information what kind of radar will be used by T-50? Will the radar be more powerful than the IRBIS that can spot objects of 0.01 m2 at 96 km? Thanks
