While I admit I haven't kept track of this thing and don't know much about the details, it seems like a big ass lobbyist orgy to me. I remember reading how much EADS spent on marketing, and it wasn't a small amount to say the least. My gut feeling tells me price wasn't as a big factor as Boeing's buddies in American Congress.

I concur with your statement. I feel that there were some shenanigans afoot right from the initial appeal/temper tantrum. Oh well, par for the course. :coffee

well, EADS show dissapointment (quite big, IMHO) but they decide to not protesting about this matter
